I agreed with most of that post until you ASSumed my stance on the enemy above.
Kermit, we ALL want revenge, we ALL want to fight the enemy, and we ALL understand Islamic extremists want us dead. However....the situation in Iraq is not tied to that scenario. In fact, we are creating MORE "blowback" by allowing our govt and this president to CONTINUE taking us off course.
The problem we are facing is what you say it is above, but we are NOT fighting THAT fight!
We are NOT helping our war on terror by remaining occupiers in a place that doesn't want us there. We're actually doing the exact OPPOSITE, by being occupiers. This isn't helping the war on terror that we ALL want to see succeed. We are building more resentment, more hatred, and more recruitments FOR the enemy by continuing to occupy Iraq.
Bush is NOT right by doing this, and is actually doing detrimental harm to us by continuing to do so.
