Blog: Ren's Fruitarian Fitness 26 week challenge/100 Day Reality C
Jul 16-
I know that green smoothies are definately KEY to a clear complexion for me. I don’t really want to go into detail but I had some learning experiences this past week.
Today I went back to the gym and had a great workout. I also got to sit in the sauna a little bit. Tomorrow is the detangling and blowout/trim project of my hair. Today was the first day I stepped into the gym feeling like a winner, a pro, a real female bodybuilder and fitness fanatic. I think I realise that my health is 100% in my hands and my responsibility. No more doing enough to get by and maintain for me.
Much to my pleasant surprise, the gym is going 24 hour schedule at the end of the month. How awesome is THAT?!
I’ll talk about my protein shake tomorrow and my supplements. I got some good ones that are making my nails grow like crazy. Even my grossed out car accident thumb is looking good.
Jul 18-
I worked out early this morning at the gym. I spent way more quality time with my husband. Anyway, I worked chest, triceps and shoulders this morning and did fifteen minutes on the bike.
I am posting my post workout protein shake:
2 scoops of rice protein
1 tablespoon of flaxseed ground
1 tablespoon of maca powder
cup of aloe juice
2 tablespoons of ground up oats
2 tablespoons of powdered goat milk
- I drink this after my workout and my muscles say THANK GOD. I also don’t eat for four or five hours too. I don’t use milk. I just use water. I am taking another’s poster’s advice seriously about adding the protein and also morning workouts.
I am taking green tea extracts, saw palmetto and the like to treat my fibroid challenge. I’ll see what happens in three weeks!

sounds pretty good. so do you put fruit in there with your other stuff? i recently started consistently adding more protein to my shakes as well (i use hemp protein powder and also ground flax seed) i was told my adrenals will not recover unless i have more protein and omega 3's. neither of which i had been doing on a regular basis. listen to your body :) it knows what it needs. :)

No fruit in the protein shake except for a banana if I have it. I can only eat a banana in the morning otherwise it makes me sluggish in the afternoon. I had two mangoes for an afternoon meal though :-) I wonder how dragged down my adrenals are from years of drinking coffee. I take fish oil and other omega 3's for shrinking the fibroids.

i dont know. you could look at how you feel? you could also look up adrenal fatigue on the internet? there are some good sites that give symptoms etc. oh the site for the place i am working with is
http://www.itcpharmacy.com
all their stuff is bioidentical and they do supplements and also lifestyle changes (to more healthy) very nice.
mine were totally taxed out. almost nonfunctioning really. he was surprised i was able to get out of bed in teh morning they were that bad. i had wondered why i always had a hard time getting rid of the fat in the middle also. that is where it always STAYS. doesn't matter how hard i work out or what i eat, there it stays. with as much as i work out one would think that i would be skinny as a rail (not that that is the look i am goig for) but seriously.... i have to FIGHT tooth and nail for each pound and inch. so at least now i know why and hopefully that will remedy itself when they get up and running again.
