I napped in the early afternoon. After I awoke, I realized the condition waas much better, less dry and less inflamed. Sleep plays a big role in recovery. Pity I will be a sleep debt over this week till exam next April 18. I will try to get some rest each day. I really want to heal myself. I have fought such a long road and I am here, right now, just one step to being fully recovered. Imagine what healthy feels like.
4pm
Shoot! I BROKE the fast. I could not resist home-made chocolate cookies and had a few of them. Talk about cravings. lol The large round cookies were sizzling, with loads of chocolate and not too cloying. I actually enjoyed it despite the fact I was SUPPOSED to be fasting. Unfortunately, this means back to square one. Oh whatever. I will try again from 6pm onwards for a new fast. Suddenly, 21 days look rather looooong.

- A break? by naravahanadata

Dear Isabella,
I am a little bit concerned. I can completely understand you broke your fast, that happens to all of us and is no big disaster, life goes on, other fasts come :) However, shouldn't you take a few days break before you hit it again? How about after the exam? The thing is that while fasting your first goal is to stop the processes of digestion and start the healing process. Anything you swallow that starts the digestion works against you (from what I understand, urine, salt water and stuff similar to digestive juices should be Ok). However taking medicine or swallowing a cookie every seventh day (for example ;-) may result in malnutrition and actually MORE health problems, or it might at least make the fast much less effective. Of course you have all the information and you have probably studied them in much greater depth than I have, I am just voicing my concern here, ahem :) So in your shoes I'd give the body a few days to recover and THEN start again. But that's just me :)
As regards the Czech, you needn't be impressed at all, the people here find fasting as crazy and dangerous as any other nationality, but, as everywhere, there are several people here who believe in its benefits and communicate with each other about it, book get published (as well as books about UFO, seeing aura, telekinesis etc.) and that's basically it :)
Ah well, I hope you are doing fine, be careful, don't study yourself to death and thank you for everything!
Lots of love
Vanda

Dear Vanda,
I understand your concern. When you mean malnutrition, I think you attribute it to the digestion and assimilation of nutrient-poor foods like cookies(!!!!). This would be the case if I repeat this fast-break-fast routine frequently over prolonged a period. Otherwise, the body has nutrient stores that can last for months. But you raised a point that I am concerned about with regards to nutrient store and malnutrition. Because I have been fasting many times over the last few months with breaks in between (about 2 weeks between fasts)that my body may be running into a mulnutritive problem. This is indicative from the blurry white lines appearing on my left forefinger and ring finger nails and right little finger nail (one on each nail).
Which all basically boils down to the conclusion I was silly to steal a cookie break. And it would be wise that if I intend to fast, to complete the prolonged fast without trying any stunts, then transit into healthy living with routine fasts. It is like the mind, when trying to multitask, the quality of work is compromised. A weak analogy but it hits home with me.
I am not sure what you mean by giving the body a rest. Do you mean taking juices? Because in normal situations when we are not feeding, our body is naturally in a fsating mode (hence we are actually fasting for short periods everyday between meals). Hence, I drew the conclusion that I will allow the cookies to be digested, assmilated, allow the body to transit into its normal cycle of fasting and then continue from there. As the break occurred at an early stage, the digestive system has yet to become(but can be) sufficiently sensitive to cause stomach cramps, nausea and weakness, negating much of the benefits of the fast. However, with consumption of the cookies, toxins have obviously been introduced into the body (processed foods in the cookie) and utilization of detox-intended energy for digestion.
Thanks for warning me.
