Blog: Juice Fast - Going for 30 day
Today is the first day. I graduated college yesterday and last night had Chinese food with friends and also shared an alcoholic beverage called a Scorpion. I was worried what that would do to me, the day before my fast but I seem to be okay today. Not extraordinarily hungry or anything. I weighed in this morning at 257.5 lbs. My desire is to lose at least 30 lbs when this is over. I’m still kind of scared that I’m going to fail, but I prayed hard before even stepping out of bed this morning that God would give me the strength I need to do this. I’m going to need to do that every morning if I’m going to make this. I read on a website a kind cool thing to remember when I get scared, “Don’t worry…you’ll eat again”. It makes me thankful that I’m so blessed that I can CHOOSE to fast and I’m not like thousands in other countries that don’t have food like we do. It almost makes me feel ashamed for doing this.
Well, I juiced some carrots, a few pears and apples and a couple of celery and I am drinking my breakfast right now. I made extra for later. I know it’s supposed to be fresh, but I’m going to have to juice breakfast and lunch each day, minimum.
Well, I’m off to run some errands, clean house, etc. I’ll write later tonight if anything significant happens.

Starting is always the hardest part. Just keep strong through the first 3 days and then you will suddenly have the strength to continue. It's a great way to drop some pounds and also clear your thoughts and detox your body. I haven't done a juice fast.... but I did do the "Master Cleanser" fast for 10 days and felt amazing afterwards.
