Blog: First Fast Ever for 31 yr alcoholic male
Today I started my second fast. I only gained 4 lbs since losing all my weight on my first fast, but I can tell me body wants another fast. I only got hungry late in the evening so when I got off work I made a cabbage, tomato, green onion, and green pepper juice. It was good to me but my girlfriend said it was burning her eyes and stank. Even when I made my first juice today my girlfriend walked in the door (she was gone at the time) and asked what that smell was. It was my juice and she said she could smell it outside on our front porch before she even opened the door:)
I think it is funny to stink like vegetables. No one likes it and its like you are constantly farting every time you open your mouth, but you have an excuse. You just blame it on juice fasting and then everyone gets interested and listens and wants to know how they can get started. You could probably let one rip at this point and no one would even know the difference.
I bought some grade A pure maple syrup today from wal-mart. Funny because I went to GNC and other health stores and they didn't carry it. I will be doing a master cleanse in between juicings. I like to juice 2 times a day and stick to the master cleanse the rest of the time. I hope I hold up well because I am working outside in the heat. I will drink a lot of bottled water also. I plan on doing this fast for 10 days at least. I did 24 days last time, but I drank mostly juice and wasn't working. I just sat in front of a computer and lost 25 lbs of my ass while doing it. I did get a picture today so I will post it later on. I rather wait to post it so that I can have a before and after. Then you people might not say something like... look at that big SOB. It will be more like, that big SOB lost some weight!
Well, I'm off to a good start. It just came to me all of the sudden. After my first fast was over the first thing I ate was a bologna sandwich. Then I ate pizza beer, fried foods, and everything else I ate before. I knew my metabolism was still doing a good job, but the pounds were going to come back eating like that. I mostly do this fast for getting my body more healthy. If I can be fat and healthy I will be happy. I am not saying that I want to be, but I am doing this for the healthy reasons and not the weight loss. If I was doing it for weight loss, I would jsut stick with the master cleanse. See ya!

You really did a good job for your first fast. Bravo! This is not easy.
The success will lie in chaging the eating habits after your second fast, going towards more nutritious and natural foods. Good luck with your second fast! You've got lots of willpower...

Good for you to jump back on it again! Lucky that you only gained back 4 pounds after your first fast. Good luck with this new fast and looking forward to hearing your progress. Might inspire me and my Finace to do a fast this summer. But I highly doubt he will join...... since Fridays usually mean a couple glasses of wine for him! heehee

LOL me too! But I am not going to worry about the alcohol as much as I did the first time. It made me feel very guilty when I drank, which is good, but I beat myself up with it. I will just drink when I think I need it (every day! - kidding) because I battle it day to day anyway. I rather fast and drink like I did last fast, than to not fast at all. It does concern me that there may be high alcohol content in me while fasting because of no food? I will search for that answer on here during this fast.
