Blog: First Fast Ever for 31 yr alcoholic male
I really didn't get much feedback from this site in my last few days and kinda think that I could have gone at least 5 more days with support. I think I am going for another fast in 30 days. I already started eating so much fattening stuff in the last 2 days and here is day 1 post fast......
This is so weird because I went straight for a bologna sandwich and then ate a salad a few hours afterward. The next day I ate 2 more salads, but my second one was a Wendy's taco salad with everything! All that nasty beef, cheese, sour cream, and dressing. Man I bet I gained 4 lbs just from that one meal alone. I just wanted to eat and I did! After all the food came a slight case of depression. Hmm... that sucks! I think I just did this fast as a learning experience anyway. I lost 25 lbs but know I will probably gain it all back within a month. I just want to use the fast as a tool for future fasts. Like I said I can pretty much say that I will fast again in 30 days or less and use what I learned on this first one to make the second worthwhile. It made me think about the stuff I put back into my body for the last 2 days and I kinda envy vegetarians:)

I'm glad that you had an overall positive experience while fasting - that's awesome!!!!
If you're looking for some more places to ask questions, etc, check out the Yahoo group at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/mastercleanse/
People regularly post their daily blogs and ask questions, and there is a lot of feedback and support.
I know what you mean about the meat and feeling guilty for eating it, or envious of vegetarians! We have some vegetarian friends, and there have been plenty of times (when we're not eating with them, too) that I just look at the hunk of meat on my plate and want something different. I don't think that I could never give up meat completely (but stranger things have happened!), but I want to eat a LOT less of it in the future.
Hope to see you on the Yahoo group soon - keep us up to date on how things are going. It's amazing how much better you can do with support!

it's not necessarily about how long you can do it for.... already you're thinking about what you're putting back into your body, envying vegetarians and feeling bad about eating all that bad stuff. huge step ;)
