Blog: The Master Cleanse Express
I am past the half-century mark and empowered by the life experiences I have been blessed with. I have enjoyed being a wife and a mother and was an antique store owner for many years.
After coming to a fork in the road, my husband and I decided to come apart and I became somewhat nomadic, searching for a deeper meaning in my life. I was diagnosed with colon cancer the same year Katie Couric's husband was diagnosed and died from it. That was a real wake up call for me and I would have to say it really influenced many of my life choices since then.
I put all my stuff in storage and began journeying. I was fortunate to spend a couple of years with another friend who was also battling cancer. We did our healing protocols together and traveled places I had never been and he wanted to see again once we had regained a level of health enabling us to enjoy doing such things. One favorite destination was repeated trips to the Warm Mineral Springs just south of Venice, Florida. We traveled with our Champion Juicer, a steamer, blender and a hot plate, staying in everything from motels to villas. We found a place to live in Florida which backed up to a Nature Conservancy. Remote and beautiful! and healing!
I probably would have kept returning to Florida since we enjoyed the area between there and Ashville, North Carolina, and the Smokies, also making the trip back to Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas many many times. One day though, I woke up, feeling better than ever, and by that evening, I had been in a car wreck, hit by a 16 year old having a drug and alcohol party in his folk's car. It changed my life in a heartbeat. I abandoned many dreams in those next weeks but by the grace, they were replaced with seeds for change which have proven to be synchronous and special. I had an incredible chiropractor in Missouri who I felt would help me regain what I had lost from the accident. My loyalty proved rewarding and a year later I felt so good and aligned and most importantly, no pain!
I celebrated by driving out west. I had always wanted to go out west, but had only flown over it. I traveled to Sedona and spent a month there healing more and hiking in the desert. It was great, but again, I missed the mighty oaks of Missouri and the *middle*. I drove back home and left the lovely red rocks of Sedona behind.
I did not know what my next adventure would be, but I was spending the day with a friend soaking in the Niangua River and praying. "Open a door God and I will find the courage to walk through it", I prayed. The next morning a friend called from Puerto Rico asking me to come to Texas and watch her place until she got home. I sure did not expect this at all but was not going to argue the answer to a prayer...ggg.
My friend and her husband are both healers and I was invited to stay and study with them. Its been two years now and I am still learning and still enjoying this experience. I do not know what the future holds and I do not worry about it. I enjoy my life one day at a time and continue to work my way back to where I was the morning of the car wreck. I am now cancer free and continue the body maintenance I worked so hard to learn and implement on my path to healing. I have a fresh appreciation for my body and a willingness to cultivate happiness and joy.
Life is good~~~
blessings,
Zoe

I enjoy your blogs. I just found them. Your story is inspiring. It is amazing. Sometimes people in life that don't have hardships and setbacks never have a chance to examine their life. You did and have probably done more to better and enhance your life than others who sail through life unknowing until it is too late. Continue on your journey to wellness, as I am doing. And good luck. Aloha

Thank you....I think it is true, that if you aspire to a spiritual life and surrender your will to greater purpose, you do get to be forged by the fire so-to-speak. Still, the freedom in surrendering and "allowing" is powerful and immense.
At one point in my life, after a serious crisis, I said aloud, "this is going to kill me!". Well, my body took that command and RAN with it. So, after my cancer diagnosis, I was shocked but not really surprised and the challenge was to convince my body and mind that my original intent was no longer valid. It was a wake-up to wake up and smell the roses, to make choices on a minute to minute basis to say YES to life, yes to that which would serve me best, and certainly I learned that lesson which is that our WORDS are powerful, our self-talk is powerful and that we are also powerful beings. It has been an incredible journey which has empowered me to expect miracles on a daily basis, and to indulge in gratitude on a daily basis as well.
I do wish you luck on your path to wellness. It is a journey worth taking and by the grace, we are fortunate to have access to information which can raise our awareness AND the camaraderie of the Curezone community to encourage us over the bumps and brambles in the road.
be happy, be well,
Zoe

You look marvelous and radiate inner happiness and peace, by the way. It would be nice to know what mindset makes for that inner glow. I'm curious as to the words and phrases in the background of your photo?

We were doing a feminine workshop here where I live and my daughter flew down to attend the workshop and my friend who was teaching the workshop grabbed me and put me against the wall to take my picture and so I was looking at two of my favorite people and it just turned out to capture some of the essence of who I really am...ggg. The poster was one of many put up around the seminar room and it was part of the course curriculum...when I saw the picture even I had to smile since the background was synchronous to where I am in my life.
The mindset....LOVE!
Blessings,
Zoe

Thank YOU for your kind words and encouragement. I actually was inspired to blog because I needed motivation to do this cleanse but now that I am doing it, I would encourage others since it does keep you honest with yourself. I found it a creative way too to share and inspire myself and others.
When are we going to read about YOUR reflections on your cleanse...ggg??
Would love to~~~~

I am just seeing your note here~~
I did not see your question until
you asked in the forum~~
http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=831805#i
Confession is good for the
soul, so I hope you re-evaluated
your reaction and are feeling
better now.
It is a process and you may
have to consider collecting
some good coping skills
which say YES to you
and which you can use
when temptation to binge
gets too overwhelming.
be happy, be well,
Zoe
