Blog: Fasting & Detox: Juicing for first time
The whites of my eyes are starting to lose the yellow shade. Yeah! Yesterday I fell asleep on the couch at 2:00 in the afternoon, and only woke up enough to walk to my bedroom. I finally woke up at 6am this morning. I guess I was tired...you think? That tends to happen after the semester has ended. Working and going to grad school full time really takes it out of you, and I finally had a chance to rest.
My weight started at 177.6lbs. I am now at 159.8lbs!!! It has been so long since I have seen the 150s in a very long time. I have lost 4 - 4.5 inches in my waist. Yeah!
I met a lady who also detoxes and cleanses with juice fasting. Finally! Someone I can talk to about this! Anyway, she is a big advocate of the raw food diet, and she is trying to teach me a little about it. She works in a shop that I go to, so I have to be considerate of her time.
Anyway, I have started doing some research on the raw food diet, and I am overwhelmed. It seems like it's either too simplistic (eat the fruit or vegetable) or too complicated. I would like to figure out how to make decent and interesting meals that don't require three pages of recipes. (There is one recipe book I saw in particular that had rediculously long recipes). However, on a good note: there are actually ice cream recipes that can be included in the raw diet...Yeah!!! So stoked.
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions as to what recipe book would be good for a beginner, but is still interesting. Am I going to need a dehydrator?
That's all for today. I am starting to feel better and better. Until next time.

You are magnificent, RedFizz! (Love that name, btw!) I mean, seriously, DAY 23!!! WOW!!! Double wow!
Isn't it fantastic, though, to feel so damned GOOD! I mean good in all aspects of the word, healthy, vibrant, energetic, beautiful, THIN! LOL I am so delighted you are experiencing this!
You'll be surprised how easy it is to go raw after a sustained juice fast. After this last 30 dayer I did, I DID NOT want to eat... so nibbling on raw foods was a breeze... now, 2 and a half months later, I am still mostly raw and completely vegan with the exception of raw cheese. I cannot give up my cheese.
Curezone is fantastic, but there is nothing like having a real life buddy to share your joys and frustrations together. I still have found NO juicing pals. Curezone is the only place I have where people think like I do. So, all my fasts, with the exception of this last fast, have been done all by my lonesome. I discovered Curezone when on my last fast and that made a lot of difference. I wasn't so lonely while juicing. Glad you found a friend.
Keep up the great work. You're gonna be so proud of yourself when you reach the finish line.
All the best,
~ Dazzle
P.S. Thank you for responding to my Goodbye...

Thank you, Dazzle! (By the way, it was great hearing from ya!) I am really starting to feel the benifits. I cannot wait to see what else happens.
I hope you'll continue to pop up here and there! Don't be a stranger!

Hi RedFizz :)
Yellow eyes means liver problem.
What type of hepatitis do you have?

None. I just have never cleansed my liver, which is what I will do once I start eating again. By the way, I love on Supersize Me when they discover that he was able to destroy his liver in 30 days to the same level as a long-time alcoholic. Ah, that's McD's for ya.
