Thanks to all of the support! I appreciate your "welcomes", dazzle, sunearth, raddish, and albertjohnson. Also, I want to let ausjulie know how much I appreciate her blog reporting post fast. I am so afraid of going into starvation mode and gaining tons of weight afterwards.
One blogger made a comment that everything you eat is a part of your diet. It just depends on what diet are you on. I told my mom about this so she wouldn't invite me over to dinner, and she is freaking out. But considering that she is 300+ lbs, and if I continue eating the way I was raised to eat thus end up like her, I am not worried about her freaking out.
I think Dave Ramsey once said that if you want to be rich, then watch and learn how a rich man behaves/spends; if you want to be thin, watch and learn how a thin person behaves/eats. Very wise. And, I am sad to say this, but my mom is not is good role model for diet/excercise. Quick note: My main goal is not to lose weight, but to be healthy.
However! My bible study teacher, who is super cute and sweet, told me she wasn't eating very much. I asked her why, because it didn't make sense where this was coming from, and she said it was to keep up with me. She also suggested that I set small goals to achieve during my journey so I don't get discouraged. She so supportive and awesome!
Baseline info:
These are some of the symptoms I hope the detox will remedy:
1. lethargic
2. depression (depending on which foods I eat)
3. weight
4. groggy mind
5. yellow in the eyes
6. pallid complexion
By the way, thanks, Dazzle! The link you sent me was awesome. Those were some great articles. I especially liked the article that discussed how your digestive system works. No wonder I am so sleepy after eating a heavy meal: all my energy is going towards digesting it! It was also good to read The Ups and Downs of Juice Fasting and understand upfront why I will feel bad, sensitive, and/or depressed and what is happening to my body.
Question
I read some of your comments about oxypowder. It seems the overall response is positive. Any comments? Also, where can I get some that it won't cost $40+ a bottle.
Oh, I found a 15 pack of litmus paper at www.ph-ion.com for a little over $5.00 including shipping.
I have enjoyed reading your blogs; it gives me hope this will work! Have a great day.
