Blog: Observations
Some people just can't admit that they are not healthy. Or, more likely, they don't realize that they aren't healthy.
I know 2 different people who have had sinus issues (including allergies, sinus infections, inner ear infections, and heavy medication esp. antibiotics) for over 1 year SOLID. They think they are fine!
One person was on antibiotics for around 6 months. Takes antihistamines which dry her up. Hasn't actually been well for any period of time in this past year. She knows she has some problems butI don't think she considers herself ill. She just has some "issues." Annoyances to deal with.
The other has actually dealt with this sinus issues for years. Allergies, postnasal drip, one sinus infection after another (about 1 a month for almost a year), 3 inner ear infections in less than 2 years (that require lying in bed for almost a week to recover), and he thinks he is pretty healthy. These are just pesky little problems that pop up from time to time but overall, he's "healthy."
Except I know that he isn't.
He has pasty skin, COLD hands, and always has shakey hands.
He has never like vegetables. The only "vegetable" he ever liked was corn (which is actually a grain). He learned to appreciate salads so sometimes he eats iceberg with ranch. He can also handle mushy green beans. Doesn't particularly like fruit or eat much of it. Lives on meat, dairy, and flours. Things like hamburgers, fried chicken, pizza, bread, kool-aid, etc.
I could go on, but I've made my point.
I guess a lot of people are in this same boat. How common is it to read an article about a cancer victim, and they start out with, "I had always been healthy, so I was shocked to learn that I had cancer!" I always wonder... were they REALLY healthy? What was their diet like? What was their lifestyle?
Just because you never had any big problems or strong symptoms doesn't mean that you are actually healthy.
I hope I can learn this lesson for myself, through observation. I don't imagine that I am perfectly healthy. But hopefully I can stay on top of things, and pre-empt any disease coming my way through diet and lifestyle. I don't want to be complacent and think I am healthy, when I am not!

It is pathetic that many people, go on their way, fat, dumb, and happy.... It is too bad stupidity does not hurt.... Then some might just try something to in prove their lives... HUH!! Oh well that is the way things are...
We (those who have spent time looking for better ways and putting the truth in front of us) should continue to try to help these others, learn from their past.... It is a daunting task, but someone has to do it, and here we are... So please continue to be the best person that we know you are, write and research then just maybe someone will see the light.... HUH!!
Thanks for your notes, and fine writing... Enjoy your posts... See Ya..K

Aren't you a little hard on the unhealthy people? They are ignorant, yes, of many things, but often they've no reason to question what they've known. Many people who have learned a better path have only learned so after being one of "them". Sorry, this was very harsh...I think we should embrace those who are still learning, because usually that includes us as well.
