Many women claim they resent how they have been 'controlled' by men for so long. But they realised, long ago, how they could easily manipulate men by simple opening or closing their legs. Many men are simply terrified of women-or being rejected by them, more likely-this can easily lead to blaming women and is also a poor substitute for truth.
It was a survival need, of course, and there should be no blame placed for men and women doing whatever they could to get their needs met. Similarly, many critisise the 'christian fathers' for usurping the Goddess and twisting people's minds' to believing that 'god' was a male.
Today, the corruption of such a belief is obvious to anyone with one eye and part of a brain. But consider this; what better way to avoid being clubbed or sliced to death by superstitious barbarians than by convincing them that you were the representative of a diety that would punish them for their transgressions? Of course, today, we have the corruption that occurrs, as usual, in the passing of traditions from generation to generation. But, originally, it was a way of avoiding death, perhaps...
The point I'm trying to make is that we have to come to terms with our resentments and name them for what they are and where they come from, rather than blaming others for our lack of joy. 'Know yourself and you will have better control of your life and will not feel so compelled to control and blame others for what you lack'.
