Conflict
Personal struggles, relationship problems, political strife,
global conflict and cultural turmoil. Why?
What is going on here on Planet Earth?
We say we want peace and harmony. We pray for it,
march for it, preach and teach of it, but we don’t have it.
Why? Not many would admit it, but the reality is
that we humans LOVE it!
We love conflict and drama. It keeps us going, it makes us
feel alive, it gives us a purpose to strive and thrive.
Professional sports are one of the most popular pastimes
on Earth.
We watch the news for stories of struggle and mayhem
and feel so lucky it’s not happening to us. We see hungry
wanderers scrambling through dumpsters and collecting pop
bottles and cans from garbage receptacles everywhere and
we shake our heads in pity or disgust and feel so superior
that we don’t have to do the same.
What is it with we humans? Why are we so insane?
Yes, that’s the word, ‘insane.’ If a reasonable definition of
insanity is, ‘doing the same thing over and over again, expecting
different results,’ doesn’t that apply?
It starts in childhood, for most of us. Why? Because our parents
were raised and trained by people who were raised and trained
by people who were raised and trained by people who believed
that we are separate beings that had to struggle to survive in a
hostile world. Perhaps it was like that, generations ago, but
haven’t we learned anything from our history? Sure we have.
We’ve learned a lot. The problem is, we haven’t applied that
learning to change or alter the course of humanity. We are the
same frightened apemen peering out of our caves at a bewildering
vista full of peril that we were hundreds of thousands of years ago.
Oh sure. We’ve had our teachers and wisemen come and go, telling us,
showing us and reminding us of our True Potentials and possibilities of
salvation. But do we learn? Do we listen? Do we change for the better?
Not much and not many of us, it would appear.
Why is that, do you think? Well, perhaps we are so focused on
escaping from our fears, indulging in our distractions, chasing security,
safety and affluence, that we’re just too busy?
Maybe we’re just so sure and confident (‘faith?’) that a messiah
or a superior alien race is poised to come and save us from
ourselves moments before we reach critical ma*s and it all comes crashing
down on us for the final meltdown? Or maybe we know that it’s just a
matter of time before the information we need is channelled from an entity
on ‘the other side’ that will make us all sit up, take notice and actually
teach us the magic incantation that will bring us all to Utopia?
Well, here it is. The channelling you’ve been waiting for. The magic pill.

Ever read the book Illusions? No saviors outside ourselves. We are our own saviors.
I noticed you had one of Ken's articles up (educateyourself) but took it down for your own words. Your words in the above blog were much more coherent ;-) Good call!
