Blog: Herpes Nation
For those of Us with Herpes or any other chronic infection caffeine is the absolute worst thing we could put into our bodies. I'm talking about chocolate, coffee, black tea, green tea and yerba mate.
This society is a nation of drug addicts. Being the descendant of slaves I am completely against any kind of slavery myself. A dependency on any substance, epecially a drug is one of the worst forms of slavery.
A lot of silly people tell me on a daily basis that coffee is good for you. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this. How far we have fallen off the path and how quickly. People don't even have too much common sense these days.
Anything that gives you withdrawal symptoms when you stop taking it isn't good for you. Plain and simple enough. Coffee is bad for you and don't even try to tell me that it's an antioxidant. If you want an antioxidant eat some blueberries or a pomergranate.
If you can't do without a stimulant that depletes your adrenals and makes you Starbuck's bitch, then that's on you but please be woman or man enough to saym without apology, "I am a slave".

I don't have herpes.
I do drink green tea. Not everyday. Sometimes I go a week or even a month or so without it. No biggie. Most of the time it's 1 or 2 cups, several days a week. Sometimes white tea, instead. I like it. So I don't think I'm a slave.
I can sure feel the difference, though, if I have black tea. A while back I had one of those frozen coffee drinks and it made me completely wiped-out tired with a headache. Can't imagine drinking stuff like that everyday!
I can see what you mean about slavery. Interesting point.
