Blog: Fluoride: Facts & Fictions
I was talking to my Father this weekend. He thinks I'm a little nuts, especially because of this fluoride thing. He just smiles and shakes his head like I'm a silly little kid afraid of the dark or something. He says "They wouldn't put a dangerous amount in the water. It can't be bad for you if they put it in the water"
I could go on and on about that mentality, but instead, I'd rather ask why? Why would anyone, when presented with a point of view such as this on fluoride, why would anyone choose to blindly believe what they've always been told? When it's something this important, when it comes down to the difference between poison in your body or no poison in your body... why?
It makes me wonder how many people stomped their feet and insisted the earth was flat even after irrefutable evidence to the contrary. Are we really so scared to think for ourselves.
I have to say, being the curious beast that I am, that this mentality of my Father and others disappoints and confuses me... and frustrates me really, I love my Father - my daughter - my family and I get angry at the thought of such an injustice as this! Is it too much for the little mind to handle in the face of such a glaring crime by our trusted health professionals, by our government, is it too difficult to admit that something like this has happened to such an extent and for so long?
It has to be stopped, it can't go on. Our medicine - our medical practices are not making us well, they are making us sicker. Read the statistics... on cancer, on 'chronic' diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholersterol, diabetes... what about heart attacks, osteporosis... how about the statistics of Americans taking 3 or more prescriptions - FOR LIFE! Where is our quality of life? where has it gone. Yes, I know maybe fluoride isn't causing all these problems but it is one glaring oversight in the many that could be so easily stopped. All it takes is for every one of us responsible adults to say NO MORE! As for the rest of it... we are a poisoned world, in the name of fun or self-gratification we choose not to take those steps and make those changes to enjoy a higher quality of life. We instead opt to systematically poison ourselves with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, fast food, junk food, sugar, fluoridated products and water, prescription drug after prescription drug, synthetic hormones... I for one am really truly tired of all the excuses we make to just "be".

- Paranoia? by #19729

Are we all paranoid? I don't think so. I think many of us just want a healthier life, and the only way to get it is to ignore and even deny many of the "scientific breakthroughs" and "medical interventiions" that are thrust upon us.
It seems like the healthier we try to be, the more demands and "discoveries" the government and medical organizations come up with to try to scare us into submission and keep us a sickly society.
Now, God help us all, chickens and fowl will now be the death of us. Run for cover!!! The birds are on the loose...

Yes, and now we're supposed to run, not walk, to our nearest vaccination station and get shot full of bird flu!
to each his own, I guess.. but I do hope more of us begin to step outside the box and think for ourselves.
Thanks for your comment

In countries where this bird flu seems to be common, many of the people would happily eat "road kill." Some of the "foods" these people ingest would "gag a maggot." Their immune systems are probably so compromised, they couldn't fight off the "fly flu," yet we are all supposed to believe that the few who are dying are dying from this so-called bird flu. If my immune system isn't strong enough to withstand flu that I contracted from a bird, I might as well say "Sayonara" and turn out the lights. I'm not buying it. And that goes for the "bird flu vaccine" as well.
