Thanks, Lapis, for bringing these different subjects to our attention. We continue to see the same ol' stories being played out in different eras, and for 2005, it's Venezuela and Chavez. The Brasilian leader Lula is not too far down the list. Keep bringing these important messages to us, because as you mention in another post, "fear" is what is keeping things the way they are! Peace and Blessings! ge

these 2 interviews show what kind of man Hugo Chavez truly is,
and your other message Good in Venezuela proves it farther!
He is intelligent, compassionate,
truly globaly minded towards a REAL democracy
where the government is actually providing
for the poor and even middle classes ,
not only in his own country
but many others as well.
I was astonished when I read
that he offers fREE eye laser surgery etc
to even poor usa citizens!
and gives where to write
to obtain free transportation!
WOW! even the giving of oil resources
to the energy companies in many nations
esp to the usa to help lower heating costs
for the poor thru winter!
His government sounds like a paradise,
what he is creating it to be..
the fact that usa only has 20 billion barrels oil left in reserve,
while venezuela and iran and iraq etc have 150-300 billion , (each)
sure brings home the point that these wars and country take overs
have nothing to do with governments,
just an imperialist government seeking to hoard resources.
the statement he made about usa is only 5 % of worldwide pop.
yet we consume 25% of the oil resources of the world
sure hit home.
I loved that woman on the other message page I believe
that said Africa is NOT poor like the control media says...
in fact they are extremely wealthy in natural resources.
but the corruption so inherent in the corporations that control
the resources, instead of using them
to help the natives of the continent,
give it out to nations such as usa etc..
while Africans are left to die
and live in poorest of conditions.
(This was the woman that won the nobel peace award)
the videos are great, to see the man, Chavez talking..
but rereading the interview transcripts hit home even deeper.
I would greatly suggest that everyone take time to do both as well.
His views on the eternal overview
I found particularly touching.
Can I fall in love with this tender soul or what?
so truly , and sincerely globaly aware.
I am sure his people love what he is doing for them.
esp the women that he has running
a great deal of these programs
to help the poor of his country.
thanks again Lapis for helping bring truth
into the open
Love,
Ami Joi Benton
