Goddess of the Moon,
Mistress of the Waters
This night I danced barefoot
under the full moon's Light
Eyes closed, I saw a Vision...
I beheld a woman
standing at the Water's edge,
arms raised to the Moon,
long dark hair flowing past her waist,
white silken dress clinging to her body
She sang to the Moon a wordless melody,
calling down the Moon's Power
Moonlight reflecting brightly in the Water,
she stepped forward
and with head back and eyes closed,
immersed herself
until only her face shone in the Light of the Moon
She floated,
melding with the Water,
melding with the Moonlight,
until I was unable to tell where she began
and where she ended
Watching this Vision unfolding in my Mind's Eye,
I wept and wept
Something was so familiar,
the pain of sweet Remembrance so great...
She is Me, I know,
in another Time
in another Place
a Past Time?
a Future Time?
a Now Time?
