As the weeks went by the baby girl slowly gained a few ounces of weight and some strength there, little by little... Day by day!! Until after two months; the Doctors allowed her parents to hold her...  They cautioned that her chances of surviving, much less having any kind of normal life were next to zero... But Dana went home from the hospital just as her mother had predicted...

Five years later, when Dana was a petite but feisty girl with glittering gray eyes and an unquenchable zest for life...  She showed no signs whatsoever of any mental impairment or other physical damage limits...  Simply she was everything a little girl should be and more... Now for the rest of the story!!

One blistering hot afternoon in the summer of 1996, near her home in Irving TX, Dana was sitting in her mother's lap, in the bleachers, while her brother's team played ball...  As always Dana was chattering non stop with her mother and some others sitting near by...  { Notice many wittinesses }

When hugging her arms across her chest; she said " Do you smell that? "  Smelling the air, and noting the approach of a thunderstorm her mother replied " yes it smells like rain Dana..." 

Dana closed her eyes and again ask " Do you smell that?"

Once more her mother said " I think we are going to get wet it smells like rain.."

Still caught in the moment, Dana shook her head, patted her small hands on her shoulders and declared loudly; " No it smells like GOD, when you lay your head on his Chest!!"

Tears blurred Diana's eyes as her daughter hopped down to run play with some other children near by...  Before the rain started, Dana's words had confirmed what Diana and all the members of the Blessing family already knew, or at least in their hearts...

During those long two months of her life; when her nerves were too sensitive to human touch...  God was holding the precious little baby girl on his chest and it was HIS loving scent that she remembered that day, five years later...

This is the Absolute Truth as demonstrated by a young girl; she was not prompted, or paid, or coxed, or ask about her experience with GOD...  She knew it and just related it as she saw fit...    Believe it or not!!!  As for me I believe it with all my heart and soul...   

You decide if you think there is really a Gracious  and loving GOD or not!!
