Life with it's daily distractions; does not always allow for getting beyond the necessary...
It is easy to become bogged down in everyday life, so you lose sight of the great things you really wanted to accomplish!! What you need to do is to make a " Don't do list!! " This requires some planning and effort! How to figure out what should be on a " Not to Do list." :
1) Make a list of your wants and wishes; with goals that could be accomplished in the near future; { less than a year...}
2) Analyze the list and cut it down to less than ten items... { five preferable}
3) Now you should be able to find some items that could be done at just such a time as this... Do these now as part of you get done list... { Get them out of your way}
4) Search the list for the time wasters and things that are not really that important... These will go on your " Not to Do List." Use the three (3) D's method to help determine what makes each list... 1) Delegate, 2) Delay, or 3) Delete... You should now have two lists... The Preferred to do list and the not to do list!!
5) Find a relative, friend or co-worker who will hold you responsible to follow; your remaining " To get done list items... "
If you follow this you will have come a long way to being more efficient with your time and efforts... You will need to do this several times a year!!
