Mind over Matter?
A question with no definite answer I would say. Maybe even impossible to answer?
Some thoughts on it:
As new quantum physics suggests everything is energy, just different forms of it. Does this include thoughts or ideas?
Take any product that was manufactured for example. It did not just appear from nowhere and it is made from matter as most other things we see around us that are not man-made a composition from countless molecules, atoms and when divided into even smaller parts: energy or frequency, waves. All seems to be made from the same, in the end that is including us!
However this product started with an idea or a thought of a product first before it materialized. What was before the idea or thought?
If the idea or thought is not ‘lost’ or dismissed then it can be that it finds nourishment through more ideas and thoughts that is kind of a live force for the original idea and the energy is growing. It becomes in some stage so strong that it attracts other forms of energy and eventually what we call matter. The ‘creator’ of the idea may take steps to materialize the production and in the end combined forces create a product that started with an idea. However in this example the product was not entirely created by the ‘creator’ of the thought because any material used for the final product was in one or the other way already existing (created). Is it even possible that we (humans) create something out of nothing? Certainly we seem to be able to help an idea or thought to ‘materialize’ why shouldn’t it be possible then to create something out from nothing or lets say from an unknown form of energy?
Personally I am not sure and like with many things in my life I jump from one conclusion to another depending also from what angle I see things.
Do these things play a role in healing? And do they in the Dorn Method? Yes, and actually I believe they play quite an important role.
Let’s have a closer look at the spine. In the Dorn Method we know about the connection of body-mind-spirit and the importance of this connection to the spine and our health in general. And where does it all start? Do we develop Misalignments in the spine and joint because of non physical issues? Or do we develop non physical issues (inner problems) because of physical misalignments?
Clear is that if we are in ‘high spirits’ (balanced inner state) then physical problems do not bother us at all (or very little at least) or we heal better or faster etc.
Vise versa if we have physical problems (e.g. Pain) then it is very difficult to be in a balanced inner state (good mood etc.) So a connection there is obvious but to what extend?
After a successful Dorn Treatment often unsolved inner issues surface as some kind of ‘side effect’ or healing crisis why? Maybe a more balanced state in what ever level is influencing the other ‘lower’ or less ‘balanced’ levels and these are trying to get into a more balanced state themselves and they appear from their ‘waiting’ position.
However this may be a two sided story: Possible the ‘less’ balanced level will influence the ‘more’ balanced level and lowers its state if strong enough forces are present?
Duality in progress? (Good and bad, light and darkness, male and female, yin and yang etc.)
It appears in case of our spine that certain ‘inner’ issues always show like a ‘mirror’ at mostly the same areas of the spine so where is the cause for that? Anyway we can use this fact to reach deeper levels of understanding about the possible connections and causes of our problems and in finding ways how to improve or even heal them.
Many therapies work on the non-physical level with great success like hypno-therapy, EFT, Reiki etc. and it appears that they can in many cases improve the physical condition. Some others work on the physical level and show some success on the psychological side.
I am fascinated by these things and want to know more therefore I always try to look deeper in every case. What I found out so far was that even after the symptoms improved or disappeared because of any non-physical treatment I could still find corresponding misalignments in the spine. Does this mean that the success is only temporary or superficial or a ‘placebo’? I also found out that if the non-physical treatment is continued and the ‘inner’ balance state is more stable then less and less actual misalignments can be found and again why?
However the mechanics, this usually takes quite some time and because I am a person that is not always so patient with everything I often like ‘shortcuts’ if they appear to be working well. That is the case with the Dorn Method and its great possibility to correct misalignments in such a gentle yet effective way. And by realizing the connections I simply do not favor only one approach towards healing but rather work on all levels at the same time. The success by doing this so far was the greatest compared to the ‘cure for all’ approach.
Anyway the Dorn Method is not just one form of therapy it is almost a complete healing system that can be perfectly combined with all others and I am convinced that it is one of the most effective and safe manual therapies available today.
Would love to get some feedback on these thoughts.
And don’t forget to smile today!
Blessings

How can mind be over matter when both are the same? "Spirit" or the individualized soul, is also the same. All three are the same fundamental "thing" in different modes.
Body is ice, mind is water, soul is steam ... YOU are the one that perceives all three. YOU are the space, the context, in which they all exist.

Possibly yes, possibly no or both?
Is there something like duality in all?
light - darkness
good - bad (although that depends on personal viewpoints)
male - female
yin - yang
spirit - matter
If in a sense all is the same why is it so hard to perceive?
Can it be that there are always two (or more, or infinite different) things (energies) in one universe that constantly interact with each other?
Is that one (side) can't exist without the other?
If there is a creator why is he/she/it hiding?
If the creator/creation is obvious around us at all times why are we not realizing it most of the time?
Sorry for being naughty and not stopping to ask and search I just feel more 'alive' when I am doing that.
blessings

Yes keep asking questions.
The reason for polarity is so that this particular (partical) experience can exist, an experience based on comparison. The entire experience is one of ongoing comparitive contrast of absolutes culminating together as parameters which make up the "life matrix" if you like. The two points of each parameter make upa line that we can expereince the in between.
Although these words point to the spiritual truths surrounding duality, one must experience this truth as an inner realization. Its akin to trying to explain the colour red to a person wh is blind. It must come from within.
Why is the creator hiding? The word creator is actually not a good word to use in reference to the total experience of all that is, because it implies a singular entity which is not the case. God or creation is total intelligence, it's everything, not just a character (the guy in the sky myth). So you see "god," "creator" isn't hiding. We are the creator/creation...it's ALL the "creator."
You are "god." IT'S ALL GOD! God is experiencing itself in this grand projected energy dance. Again words only point to the expereince. When you HAVE this experience of knowing, then you'll know it as experience beyond mere words.. *wink*
What we percieve is as seperation is for the sake of experience. Holographic in nature...with each "piece" the same as the whole.

"Is there something like duality in all?"
Duality only exists in all when duality exists in you. Really there is no such thing as duality. The mind, shrouded in delusion (the beginningless darkness of Maya), sees and projects duality onto eveyrthing it sees. This idea of duality exists only due to improper understanding.
What appears to be duality is really two sides of one coin. This coin is spinning endlessly. The problem is, we fail to see the "flipping" process, and only see the differences in faces. As long as we remain in the superficial level of faces (form), we may never understand how the two are connected. Imagine someone holding a coin in front of you, displaying one side. Then you happen to blink. In that split second of the blinking, the coin is flipped. Now if you didn't possess certain developed qualities of reason and logic, you might assume that this is a separate coin from what was just being shown. With a lack of discernment, your mind might tell you that there must be two coins... because the face you're seeing now is different from what you were just seeing... but the "reality" is that it is the same coin.
Now obviously most of us have enough intelligence to understand that there is only one coin in that example. But it is symbolic of a greater lack of understanding on a higher level. Many of us lack a certain kind of "spiritual logic" or "spiritual reasoning". Powers of discernment, discrimination, observation. When these qualities remain undeveloped, "wrong thought", or misunderstanding, runs rampant and distorts what we see.
Hold a coin up and examine both sides. Really there is only one coin, one "thing"... it just has many different "shapes" on the outside surface. If you were to melt the coin, all of those surface-shapings would vanish and it would be positively clear that there was never any separation between the two sides.
Consider crafting a cup and a bowl out of the same lump of clay. Both are really the same clay that has been separated and molded into different shapes. But the underlying essence is the same. Someone lacking that understanding may see them as entirely separate. A caveman seeing both may think they are entirely separate things, although upon deeper examination he may come to see that they share the same compositional makeup... the same "essence" that just happened to be shaped into different forms. In this case it is fairly easy to deduce that both are really the "same"...
Now consider steam, water, and ice. All three are the same "thing", only modified into different forms. But if we were shown steam and ice next to eachother, two very different forms, without understanding the underlying "link" (water), then it may be near impossible to see the connection between the two. Seeing the two as separate is only possible when there is a lack of understanding of the actual connection. A lack of understanding that both are just different forms of the same "thing".
In seeing light and darkness, good and bad, male and female, yin and yang, spirit and matter, we are only seeing the extremes of steam and ice without any understanding of the unifying middle state of water.
If you are confused as to where to find the middle state in all of these things, I will place the answer in the palm of your hands:
light - YOU - darkness
good - YOU - bad
male - YOU - female
yin - YOU - yang
spirit - YOU - matter
"Is that one (side) can't exist without the other?"
By the very nature of form, by the very fact that one side exists, there *MUST* exist its opposite side. This is a fundamental "law" that cannot be avoided while remaining in the world of form (and I don't mean only "material" form, but ALL form, even mental or spirit). How can a coin exist without its sides? You can try to shave off one side, but it will be futile, because both sides will continue to exist until you finally shave away the entire coin!
You will never be able to eliminate only "good" or "bad". The very thought is completely absurd. Where one goes, the other must as well. The only possible way of completely eliminating one, is to throw away the entire coin, which by law means that the other side must also be eliminated.
"If there is a creator why is he/she/it hiding"
"He" isn't hiding. It is painfully obvious, sitting right in front of us, all around us and penetrating to the very core of being.
"If the creator/creation is obvious around us at all times why are we not realizing it most of the time?"
We only fail to realize it because of wrong thought about what it is we're really seeing.
