Yesterday while at the bank I noticed a brightly-colored flyer offering complementary sessions on the (brand name deleted) Jade Infrared massage beds. Though I was not quite sure just what these beds would be like, I'm open to trying something new when it comes to energy work.
So I called and made an appointment. It became clear that the reason the sessions are free is that they want people to try the beds and then buy the beds. But the beds are FDA approved and can be purchased through most health insurance plans, which is a good thing. But I am not here to advertise the (brand name deleted) beds. Far from it, actually.
I went in today for my scheduled appointment. After filling out a form with information about myself and signing a waiver, I was given a brief, informative orientation, and brought into a room where there were was a private bed. There were several of the beds in the main room of the office, with people on them in various stages of obvious relaxation & bliss.
I was told, rather bluntly, that the beds were created in a country overseas where people are smaller, and that they only accomodate people up to 300 pounds. I weigh very much less than 300 pounds and verbalized this.
However, once the woman who runs this (brand name deleted) marketing center (and ultimately that's what it is) got me settled on the bed, the bottom portion of the automatic massaging function stopped working pretty quickly, although the top portion continued operating. I was told in no uncertain terms that the bottom portion of the massage bed had stopped functioning due to my size. I felt sad then, and rather like crying, but I didn't.
I stopped to think: People come in all sizes, and I don't have much use for a device that's not designed for someone my size. I am who I am, in the present moment, and I accept and love myself for who I am, not some idealized, perfected futuristic version of myself.
Sure, I'd love to lose some weight, and that is one of my primary goals that I am working on while doing this blog here at curezone. But that's my decision and I must work on it in my own way at my own pace. I'm totally open to ideas and feedback, of course.
But I'm not ok with someone who speaks to me as if who I am in the present moment is not all right. Who we are in the present moment HAS TO be all right with us, in fact who we are in the present moment must be embraced and unconditionally loved. That's what I believe, and how I do my life, anyway.
People come in all sizes. The (brand name deleted) woman told me that the company had designed and produced a customized bed for Shaq (need I explain who that is?) and maybe they could design a customized one for me for an extra thousand dollars beyond the current price.
Gosh, I just wanted to try it, to see if I would want to add the availability of this type of massage bed to my current alternative health offerings.
There were some handheld jade electronic devices that the woman there was kind enough to show me how to use on my back and on acupressure points in the front of my body while sitting in a chair. This was pleasant enough and in fact I felt measurably more chi flow after doing this.
There were also http://www.forevergreen.org products available at this particular office. These products were interesting and I would recommend the Rain on Me water with the Earthtribe Farmacy drops added to it. Very excellent product, and I could experience that only trying it once.
So, my friends, I continue on my humble and slow, tortoise-like journey toward weight loss. I know I will reach my goal eventually, and I will not allow bizarre embarrassing moments like I experienced today disrupt my journey to my eventual goal.
I'm glad that I love myself the way I am today.

Yesterday I saw the woman from the Migun office by one of our local libraries, and she told me that in mid-June she would be getting a larger-sized Migun bed for her office.
Honestly, this makes a huge difference, as I really did want to try the Migun bed. I will be looking forward to the arrival of the larger-sized bed, and also still earnestly moving toward my weight loss goal as well.
If all goes as planned, I won't need the larger-sized Migun bed for very long.
At any rate, I certainly appreciate her efforts!
