This is off-topic, sort of, but I just ran across this article and I can't believe this is really happening!
Expect to see a soaring rise in the incidence of cervical cancer, and all of intelligent, health conscious, and free thinking women out there.... steer clear of this!

    FDA approves cervical cancer vaccine
By ANDREW BRIDGES, Associated Press Writer
    18 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Women for the first time have a vaccine to protect themselves against cervical cancer.

The Food and Drug Administration on Thursday approved use of the vaccine, Gardasil, for use in girls and women ages 9 to 26. It works by preventing infection by four strains of the human papillomavirus, or HPV, the most prevalent sexually transmitted disease.

This cancer kills 3,700 women each year in the United States and hundreds of thousands more worldwide. Acting FDA Administrator Dr. Andrew von Eschenbach said the vaccine will have "a dramatic effect" on the health of women around the world.

Gardasil, manufactured by Merck & Co. Inc., protects against the two types of HPV responsible for about 70 percent of cervical cancer cases. The vaccine also blocks infection by two other strains responsible for 90 percent of genital wart cases. It will be available by the end of June.

Clinical trials showed Gardasil prevented 100 percent of cervical cancer related to the two HPV strains in women who had not been previously infected, Merck said. It also prevented 99 percent of the cases of genital warts caused by the two other strains.

"Fortunately, we can now include the worst types of HPV and most cervical cancer in the list of diseases that no one need suffer or die from ever again," said Alex Azar, deputy Health and Human Services secretary.

The FDA also said the vaccine appeared very safe. However, it's not known how long its protection will last or if women will have to receive booster shots later in life. Merck has agreed to monitor its long-term effectiveness.

Merck is expected to market Gardasil as a cancer vaccine, rather than an STD vaccine. It remains unclear how widespread the use of the three-shot series will be, in part because of its $360 list price. Conservative opposition to making the vaccine mandatory for school attendance may also curb its adoption.

The target age for receiving Gardasil is low because the vaccine works best when given to girls before they begin having sex and run the risk of HPV infection. The vaccine does not protect people already infected and may increase their risk of the kind of lesions that can lead to cervical cancer, the FDA has said. However, a final FDA analysis does not substantiate such a risk, said Dr. Jesse Goodman, director of the agency's Center for Biologics and Evaluation and Research.

The national Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices will decide June 29 whether to endorse routine vaccination with Gardasil. That endorsement is critical if a vaccine is to become a standard of care.

It then will be up to individual states to decide whether to add the vaccine to the list of others required before students may attend public schools.

Conservative groups like Focus on the Family support availability of the vaccine, but oppose making it mandatory, saying the decision to vaccinate should rest with a child's parents or guardians. It promotes abstinence as the best way of warding off infection by HPV and other STDs.

HPV affects more than 50 percent of sexually active adults at some point in their lives. The cervical cancer it can cause kills about 290,000 women worldwide each year, including 3,700 in the United States. In the U.S., regular Pap smears often detect precancerous lesions and early cancer. The vaccine does not eliminate the need for regular screening.

Analysts believe Gardasil sales could top $1 billion a year for Merck, which is battling thousands of lawsuits over its withdrawn painkiller Vioxx. The Whitehouse Station, N.J. company is seeking to license Gardasil in more than 50 countries.

GlaxoSmithKline PLC is also developing an HPV vaccine.

Richard Clark, Merck's chief executive officer and president, called the vaccine a "lifesaving scientific advance."

The cost of Gardasil and the difficulty of getting young girls in to see a doctor three times in six months to receive the vaccine could pose problems, said Cynthia Dailard, senior public policy analyst at the Guttmacher Institute, which focuses on sexua| and reproductive health. Ensuring its availability to poor and minority girls and women — and others less likely to receive regular Pap exams — also will be difficult. Merck plans to provide Gardasil for free to the poor and uninsured.

"This is an incredibly exciting breakthrough, but at the same time, it presents some major challenges, some the likes of which we have never confronted before," Dailard said.

Inda Blatch-Geib, an Akron, Ohio mother of four, said she'd consider vaccinating her daughters, ages 9 and 16. Blatch-Geib, 41, said doing so wouldn't be tantamount to giving her girls a green light to have sex.

"Giving the vaccine goes with a conversation. We are pretty open with our children, so it wouldn't be an issue. It would lead to conversations," Blatch-Geib said.

The only other vaccine effective in preventing cancer is against hepatitis B, which can cause liver cancer.

    • HPV vaccine and BV   by  #66436     18 y     1,971
I know this is alot, sorry. I've been reading for awhile and holding it all in...
As a victim of HPV (there is no way to tell if the guy has it, the warts could be up in his urethra) I had the surgery to remove precancerous, squamous cells from my cervix. I think the vaccine is positive. HPV is a virus that can have a vaccines made for it, naturally or in a lab. The vaccine prevents the virus, not the cancer directly. HPV causes the squamous cells on the cervix. Because HPV can cause recurring outbreaks of these cells, repetitive surgical removal may be needed for some women. Left untreated, one of four cases result in cervical cancer.
This is hope for prevention...not so for BV, which I also have.
Good site for information on HPV: http://www.cdc.gov/std/HPV/STDFact-HPV.htm#cancer
Now--BV--Love this site!! Great to know there are others!! I have tried it all. Mine started at the very beginning of a new relationship with a great guy who I am now Brady Bunching families with. He has actually stuck with me even though in 8 months we haven't had more than 4 days at a time clean unless on medication and who can have sex while on that disgusting medication!!
I am just completing the "vitamin C" treatment with success (thank you for that). We are going to try hydrogen peroxide after intercourse each time to see if this will keep the balance. My problem is definitely related to his semen. He has a vasectomy which I remember reading somewhere might have something to do with it. This makes sense. The semen is more basic to support the sperm. WIthout the sperm, maybe the balance is thrown off.
Has anyone tried to treat after intercourse each time with hydrogen peroxide? I just can't go back to the Dr and meds again.
Thanks for the support on this site.

I don't know about HPV. Certainly worth a try to do the H3O after intercourse - it quickly restores the acidity which gets thrown off after ejaculation. Someone else mentions acid jelly which is available by prescription - sounds messy and not conducive to sex-play. Don't know about the medications with HPV - how awful for you, I am sorry. I'm sure they're not pleasant, drugs usually aren't. How are they kept under control? HPV, that's genital warts, right? Is it an antibiotic-type drug they use to control that?

Just curious, because the drugs could be exacerbating the BV. Have your read much on alternative therapies for the HPV treatment?

I recently did an herbal cleanse and have felt better recently, I suffered from joint pain that seemed similar to Rheumatoid arthritis, and it is almost completely gone. I feel the body can be restored to a state of health and wholeness, with the right knowledge and commitment. Doctors are so quick to offer no solution but drugs, and most of the time that isn't a solution - only a treatment (keeps you coming back for more --- and paying more). We are intelligent and well-designed beings, I am sure the key to whole health exists.

        Good luck in your efforts

HPV is a virus like Herpes which cause squamous cells to form on the cervix. Approximately 70% of sexually active women have the virus. It may remain dormant for many years. The only way that you would know if you are carrying the virus is if you come up with a negative PAP. Then upon further investigation, these cells could be discovered on your cervix. These cells are considered pre-cancerous. Left untreated, one in four cases result in cervical cancer.
I have HPV. Following a bad PAP, I had a procedure to have pre-cancerous cells removed from my cervix. My neighbor ignored her bad PAP results 2 years ago and is having her cervix and other parts removed in the next few weeks. The point is that cervical cancer is caused by cells caused by a sexually transmitted virus.
Men have the virus and can transmit it. However, the outbreak of cells tend to be in the ureter or urethra where there is no problem and they are not noticed. There is no way to determine if a male is infected with this virus.
It is true that we have coexisted with viruses and have coevolved. But coevolved means exactly that. We do not evolve to come at peace with each other, we evolve to compete with each other. The vaccine is made from damaged or dead virus parts (protein heads and tails) which cause our systems to develop natural anitbodies to fight the virus when our bodies see the real thing intact. Viruses are not alive unless they are able to incorporate OUR DNA into their own system to replicate. Otherwise they have no ability to reproduce. It is our DNA that allows them to do this. If our bodies recognizes the virus it can stop the invasion before it begins.
We do have the choice to vaccinate. However, the reason that polio and small pox no long cripple and kill is because people have been vaccinated. Without the vaccinations, people would still be suffering from the effects of these viruses, as well as mumps, measles, scarlet fever, and rubella, just to name a few. All of these have caused death to infants, children, and adults in the past. The HPV vaccination may be new, but in a few years we may be preventing cervical cancer. Score one for the good guys.
ON THE BV SIDE: RePHresh is an over the counter maintenance gel. No taste, odor, nothing...just designed to maintain pH. I think Vit C, H3O and then RePHresh seems to hold the best for me...pathetic that I'm excited to say I can usually get 2 weeks out of it!!!

Thanks for the tip. Where can I buy RePhresh - that sounds like the answer. As to the HPV Vaccine - there is a large population that feel the whole basis of vaccination theory is flawed. Viruses mutate and change from person to person, vaccination against a certain strain of the virus does not necessarily prevent you from getting the virus (so the story goes).

What I DO know, is that they use a mercury-based preservative in nearly ALL vaccination formulas and it causes brain damage, especially to infants because the blood-brain barrier is not formed until about 2 years of age, nor are their immune systems fully developed to defend against the foreign invaders that vaccination presents into the blood. I personnally met a child in switzerland who was autistic due to vaccinations. He was born perfectly normal and after routine vaccinations (such as we recieve here in the US - MMR / Polio / HiB combination) he cried for 3 days and at the end of those days one eye rolled up and his left side was drawn as if he'd had a stroke. Now this child has to be institutionalized because he is physically abusive to his family and himself, he pees his pants, bites, kicks and screams. He shuts his brothers fingers in the door when he can, he cannot dress himself or speak. He squeals in high pitched tones to communicate.

The rise of autism is directly related to vaccination. go to http://www.thedoctorwithin.com and read the chapter on vaccinations.

RePhresh can be purchased at CVS or any pharmacy. I use it once every few days when I am already "clean". It seems to help. But not when I am already suffering...that's for sure. I have also discovered recently that if I use the H3O after sex before I go to sleep (syringe as a douche) it seems to fend off the BV a bit more...perhaps lowering the pH from the semen immediately???

    • yes, they are insane   by  thatzwhytheydie     18 y     1,847
I believe HPV itself is nothing to worry about...if it later "causes" cancer to develop, then there were obviously conditions present which allowed the person to develop the HPV symptoms and then the cancer. The vaccine is quite dangerous alone, and it has no medicinal value at all. A virus is a lifeform, with lifeforce...viruses and humans have evolved on this planet for millions and millions of years. Where would we be without bacteria and viruses? People are only beginning to see problems now because of the chemical warfare that has been waged upon us right under our noses, chemicals given to us through vaccines and through thousands of other methods. Who's to say that the virus won't be quick to adapt to this vaccine? Drug companies want you to take a vaccine, so that the idea of disease is perpetuated and they can keep making money. Vaccines kill, I have HPV and do not have symptoms and never think about it. Requiring children to take vaccines to enter school, this is a sign that our body is no longer ours. There are people out there that seem to believe they own us...they are trying to make decisions for us all through these unlawful "requirements."

I agree completely! It infuriates me that I have to allow my daughter to be pumped full of all sorts of disease and chemicals just to get an education! Putting her at risk for brain damage, illness and death does not seem like a prerequisite for a good education.

It's truly a crying shame what this world has evolved to become. I watched V for Vendetta recently and was shocked and appalled at the similarities to our current state of affairs I saw displayed in this movie which is a depiction of a so-called "future". I think the only difference I saw was that their government was much more up-front and open about their deception and control than ours is.

How do you know you're being controlled if everything you see, hear, read, feel, and think is spoon-fed to you by government-controlled mass media?

Wow, that's it for my soap box today! Thanks all for listenting! lol
