Blog: Getting the parasites out
I didn't follow the advice of Dr. Kalcker. I didn't do the protocol for a year. I quit after about 8 months because I was parasite free and had been for 3 months.
Recently I began suffering from my major symptom of parasites, extreme fatigue. I also knoew that I hadn't followed Dr. Kalcker's advice to do a parasite cleanse every 3 months. It has been about 5 months.
So, it being the full moon time, I did a challenge test to see if I had parasites. I took a dose of Reese's pinworm medication (avail. over the counter), Pyrantel paomate. I also took 12 caps of frozen cod liver oil. 48 hours later I found small flukes in my stool. I found two types, the tomato skin looking ones and the ones that look like long blobs of yellow gelatin like substances. Small but I found at least 4 of them. The smell of the stool was also that of parasites. It is an awful odor that is uncommon with my diet.
So I am here in all honesty to tell the sad truth. I am re-infested.
I have one other thought though. I just returned from 6 weeks on a river in the mid-western united states. I have found in my research that some parasites are naturally occurring in the waters of the mid west. It is possible that I just got re-infected. More research needed!!

Well, they are small and I know what to do. It's my own fault for not keeping up the protocol for a year. I also really think that the water that I was swimming in for the last 6 weeks may contain flukes. I am going to do a lot of research on this. Either way one just has to accept that parasites are a fact of life and that we have to cleanse on a regular basis. WE are the lucky ones. We are not going off into old age decrepit and sick because of parasites.
I was at a ladies luncheon recently and one woman described another woman who suffers from MS. She is totally helpless and bedridden, cared for by many volunteers. I recently posted about the possibility of MS being caused by parasites. I may mention it the next time I see her. I would feel guilty not doing so.
Thanks for the offer on the mebendazole. I can order from Romania on EBay for very little money. Or at least I could. I still have lots of packages from a prior purchase and I am going to see my Naturopath this afternoon. He has access to another herbal formula and is recommending that I change up my protocol.
I saw your last post about talking to your Mum about parasites and how sick of it she is. You will find that you may become a little obsessive about the parasites. I often wonder if it is a die off symptom or a reaction. Anyway, the forum is the best place to talk. Everyone else either gags at the thought of parasites or gets bored really quickly. The official western medical line is that parasites are a third world problem and if you say you have them, you probably have psychosis.
Interestingly, I figured that my parasites had returned. I was developing the extreme fatigue and brain fog again. The frozen cod liver oil turned up the flukes. I tried pyrantal paomate but it did nothing that I know of.
