Acne is an upsetting complaint and so often befalls at that most delicate time of life i.e. puberty. Most adolescents are fortunate enough to grow out of it ultimately. For some, the consequence is not so well-off: many of those with severe acne will undergo the further humiliation of perpetual scarring. The unappealing consequences of acne blemishing can affect an individual's self-confidence for life. It can have profound mental and social consequences as well.

    The types of scars
There are a number of different scars that can develop from acne including:

    Boxcar Scars
This type of blemishing is similar to the one as what you would get from chickenpox. They are typically oval-shaped and have a tendency to occur on temples and cheeks.

    Rolling Scars
These are so-called owing to their rolling hill appearance. They emanate from tissue damage beneath the skin and so surgical treatments like laser surgery will not be apt to eliminate them. The only genuine way to dispense with these is via subcision.

    Ice Pick Scars
These are names so for somewhat a specific reason. They look similar to if you were to hit a slice of wood or pierce it recurrently with an ice pick. It is also recognized by a more methodical name i.e. 'depressed fibrotic scarring'.

    Treating acne scars
If you have many blemishes and marks and even those obnoxious craters and holes on your face, you earnestly need to do something about them. A wisely-chosen acne scar removal treatment is exceedingly suggested to eliminate those traces of horrible blemishes on your face and restore magnificence to your skin. There are very effective laser and other treatments to make those unattractive scars die out. An effective form of surgery is laser resurfacing implemented in the doctor or dermatologists’ workplace under local anesthetic. The top layer of skin is eliminated by laser and the underlying dermis is tightened up to make the skin smooth. The treatment takes up to an hour and healing instigates within ten days. A marginally more invasive technique is dermabrasion, which is similar to sanding down the skin. A spinning wire brush or diamond-tipped gadget is used to break down the top layers of the epidermis. In sue course of time, a new layer will be grown that will be free of the acne scars. This takes a tad longer and takes up to 3 weeks to heal. Before undergoing any treatment, please refer your dermatologist to know the finest solution to your acne scar glitches. The treatment that should be used will depend on the category of acne scars that you have and the blemishes’ magnitudes, color and depth. See
