Blog: 35 Days Water Fasting
My first day of water fasting has just started. I am doing this fast to lose weight, soul searching and for spiritual experience. I have fasted before a few times, my longest water fast was for about 8 days and 12 days master cleanse and a few juice fast.
I have been wanting to do a long water fast and I just never focused my mind to actually start the fast. At the beginning of the year I weighed in at 265lbs. This was the heaviest I have been in my life. My lowest weight was 150 pounds only two years ago. Due to depression and traumatic events in my life I gained a lot of weight within in the two years.
Thanks to fasting I went from 265 lbs to 228 pounds. My current weight is 228lbs, I lost a total of 37 pounds. My goal for this fast is to get under 200 pounds and continue fasting to heal myself. What I tell myself everyday is that my body is the temple of god.
I am very excited about this fast, I am relying on god to carrying me through this fast. I strongly believe I can do this because I am tired of procrastinating and wasting my time being unhealthy.
