Blog: Nursing in the Raw
I made the decision to leave Raw Food Rehab. It was a long time coming. Early September I made the switch to the paleo diet and low carb in general. My bloated potbelly disappeared and my recovery from athletic training is so much faster. I feel so much better getting my food addiction under control.
Really all around endurance is better. I'm still going to do green smoothies and green juice.
Thinking of renaming my blog so people aren't misled. Most people think of rawfood as a vegan thing and I eat raw meat. I just like meat and I'd miss it if I couldn't eat it. I tried "paleo" before and I thought I was going to be miserable and went back to vegetarian/vegan/green smoothie feasting. What I tried was Atkins induction which was totally inappropriate for someone with not a lot of weight to lose. Plus I had such paranoia with respect to my mother's cancer and what I went through with her.
Give me a big GO MEAT with some tasty green/low sugar veggies from the garden.

Hi Ren: I have watched you diet progress and I admire you. I think we all experiment and then find what is best for ourself in the end. I know I tried the fruitarian diet and it just was not for me. I have experimented with many philosophies and in the end vegetarian suits me best.
I don't like meat and don't do well with meat but I do like Turkey. I have never been a fan of fish with all the toxic poisons and lamb which is a delacacy here makes me sick.
In the end we all support you and your decisions. How is your mom doing?
Sara
