Blog: Nursing in the Raw
Big Boxmart is on an organic kick and I'm going to look for white fabric. I want to learn to sew. Apparently, no one wears skirts anymore and I wanted to wear all white to work for Lent. The little old ladies love my grad pic with my nurse cap. I'm an LPN and don't know if I want to wear a nurse cap. My white turban is my trademark actually and yes I'm developing my own personal brand because everyone should have one. I think I've just found a topic for my other blog Emerson's Coffee House.
Anyway...
30 minutes of bikram yoga
1 mason jar of brita filtered water
1 amino acid pill with a cup of black coffee
Made a pickle jar of green smoothie
I added pomegranate to it this time. Friday I'm going to test my blood sugar and have a coworker take my blood pressure. Last time I was into green smoothies, my non fasting blood glucose was 83-93-106. One time I made a smoothie too sweet and it was 160!!!!
I'm on my way to the gym so I can make it to 8:45 mass. I made a video. My husband is going to help me set it up. I'm ALIVE serious folks. I woke up so thankful to the Lord!

I made it mass (about five minutes late!). I went to the gym and worked it out. I didn't want to push myself too much because I don't eat breakfast anymore. I usually have my cup of coffee in the morning and this morning I didn't feel hungry, truly hungry. However, I know when my blood sugar is beginning to take a divebomb so I drank half of my green smoothie before church. I got a little sleepy right up till the presentation of the gifts and woke up. I'm good now cuz I'm having the rest of the smoothie.

My hubby and I went to Walmart and did our biweekly shopping. I will post the exact amount later but my stuff cost $32-35 to last for almost two weeks. We'll see how that goes.
I was totally hungry when we got home so this is what I made:
spinach
pomegranate
banana
cherries
half an avocado
with a jigger of rooster sauce (really siracha chili sauce)
This filled up about 2/3 of the jar. I have a lot left over for later. I know I'll be making the avocado one for work tomorrow. I was thinking of testing out a 'gingerbread' version for sweet cravings.
it tasted pretty good. I took a nap that was supposed to be for half an hour but turned out to bean hour. Listen to the Power Nap app on the iphone. I'm awake now and having a cup of coffee. Going to finish the dishes.

Enjoy your honest posts...
My only advice would be to not skip Breakfast, if you must miss a meal make it any other than the most important meal of the day Breakfast!
My mother was an RN, so I am familiar with your life... Keep up your great writing...
