Blog: The Diary of a WannaBe Healthy(ish) 18-Year-Old
I'm guessing this year is going to be a big year for me healthwise... I'm starting to fall into a routine for my oral care and I'm loving it! I've already talked about this before, but I have been oil pulling for the past 8 days, on and off mind you, but still, I like it! Its a simple measure to help my growing body. Recently I was on a thread that was asking for the benefits of oil pulling. I thought it was a good thing that I had started OP at such a young age. I'm so estactic right now waiting for my teeth to become whiter! Can't wait.

I feel like this blog is so... childish! lol... in a good way. All the blogs I have read on here so far are really serious, dealing with really good causes, and stuff like people's 40 day fasts, liver flushes, master cleanses et. al. I feel like my blog is something for little preteens since I'm talking about my self so much and all.
I guess I feel like these people are so strong compared to me. I feel so happy that I was able to OP for JUST ONE DAY, and then someone is going onto their 5 day on a water fast. UGh! I'm not jealous or anything, and definatly kudos to all those people - and their blogs and stuff, but when will I be able to do that stuff? I don't know... We'll have to see. I think that when the time is right, and I have proven to myself that I can stick to something for more than a week, like my oil pulling, I'll go on to bigger, badder things... like the master cleanse or something ;)

Depending on what kind of food you have eaten most of your life, a simple fast might be all you need to cleanse & refresh your body. Liver flushes and things like that are for people (like me) who have eaten SAD (Standard American Diet) for most of their lives. (This would consist of prepackaged foods, fried foods, snack foods, etc). A lot of cleansing can be done simply by removing these foods from the diet & eating more fruits & veggies (prefferably raw). A good website to visit would be http://www.goneraw.com
just to get an idea of the different ways these foods can be prepared so that they're not too boring.
As for oil pulling, KUDOS! I've just started myself, and after only a few days, can see the benefits!
