Blog: My Mother's CaNsEr Journal
My mother's surgery was successful and the doctor said she won't need chemotherapy and she can go back and take vitamins and exercise and juice. I've learned that a lot of people are in denial of the existence of cancer in people's lives and really don't want to admit how it affects people. I've gotten lots of advice, good and totally questionable from people in the alternative health community from what herbs to take to recover from surgery to telling my mother that her tongue will turn black,etc.etc. There was lots of insensitivity to go around esp. in the alternative health community.
Someday I'll write a book about my experience of being the loved one and caregiver of a cancer survivor. If I have anything important to say, I'll post it but I don't find curezone useful for a cancer blog. Nothing personal. I just may move it to
