Roger Clemens “The Great White Dope-r”

Racist Republicans in the media could not wait to protect their favorite white bred athlete Roger Clemens . Yes indeed, despite the fact that born again Christian Andy Petite admitted that Roger Clemens admitted to using steroids. The great white hope for Texas white sports media and Republicans was defended by the same Republicans that have no trouble attacking Black Athletes Jackie Joyner and Barry Bonds.

Much to my disappointment, many right wing talk shows and sports shows also defended Roger the “needle” Clemens. Was it because of Rogers articulate comment that’s stated the Andy Petite “Misremembered”?

Roger, American People who are open minded Republicans like myself remember well. I heard the jokes told about you by Astro’s Farm Team staff in Round Rock, how they dreaded you coming To Round Rock Texas AAA farm team for rehabilitation after you signed a half season contract with the Houston Astro’s and posted a dismal record as you did last season with the New York Yankees. It was a clear indication of what a selfish player you are.

I remember well your anti New York comments in 1986 and how you told the Texas media with your John rocker attitude. How you would “never” play for a NYC team.

I remember well how you picked up N.Y. Mets Catcher Mike piazza’s broken bat in the 200 World Series and threw it back at him. Not a surprising move for a part owner of Nolan Ryan’s Round Rock Express. A business partner of your who did not wanna speak to the media or testify about steroids. Could it be is because Lynn Nolan Ryan did not wanna have to lie to protect you?

Why did you throw the bat back at mike Piazza? Was it because of your disdain for a pro baseball player that you perceived to be “gay”. As an ex cameraman for the Round Rock Express. I heard the many anti gay comments made about gay men and lesbians through my headsets. I also was reamed out more than once because of your fear of me putting gay men or lesbians on the Dell Diamond kiss cam. Yes, Roger Clemens the sexist Jokes and anti gay jokes were always in full throttle at Round Rock Express games.

Yes, But even at Round Rock Express games, the lapdog white media was always there to defend white athletes who may have been racist, sexist, or use steroids.

The same media that was ready to give Barry Bonds an asterisk for his records. The same media and Republican Congressman who are more than willing to throw Barry Bonds, Jackie Joyner , two black superstars in jail are ready to defend alleged steroid users Lance Armstrong, Roger Clemens and any other fair skinned White Athlete to come down the steroid pike.

Will anyone pursue charges against Clemens for Lying under oath as they are against Barry Bonds and Jacjie Joyner?

One does not have to be around sports too long to know that there are many double standards in sports. In some cities, you will find the media , the sports fans actually defending athletes who are sexua| abusers. They will attack the female victim who dares to make allegations against their Franchsie player.

One has to wonder what would happen if a white superstar would have been accused of being part of a dog fighting ring? I can almost guarentee that a white quarterback would not have gotten a sentence as stiff as a black quarterback.
Pro Sports has had a long history of racism, bigotry and a media as a willing accomplice. Pro sports has even allowed racists to enter the Hall of Fame. One example is a racist named Ty Cobb whose racism was on the caliber of the KKK.

What these steroids hearings are showing this writer and Republican Baseball fan is that my party is willing to protect white athletes and throw black athletes to the dogs. Racism gone in the good ol USA? I don’t Think so!

Yogi Berra museum removes Clemens jersey

LITTLE FALLS, N.J. (AP) - Roger Clemens' jersey was tossed from the Yogi Berra Museum.

Museum director David Kaplan said on Saturday the museum had removed Clemens' jersey last week from a display honoring the Yankees teams of the late 1990s that won four World Series championships in five years.

Kaplan said the decision to remove the jersey was not made to generate publicity, but was done in response to allegations of steroid use by Clemens that resulted in Wednesday's Congressional hearing where the seven-time Cy Young Award winner testified.

"It was the fact that there are a lot of unresolved issues involving Roger and it was difficult for us to give answers to the kids coming through the museum," Kaplan said.

The Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center, which opened in 1998, offers several educational programs for youths including one that focuses on sports medicine and nutrition and examines the use of performance-enhancing drugs.

Clemens' jersey had been displayed alongside former teammates Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera. Clemens pitched for the Yankees from 1999 to 2003 and was a member of the 1999 and 2000 championship teams.

Jeter's and Rivera's jerseys will stay in the display, Kaplan said. Both were members of the Yankees from 1995.

"In light of what's been happening, we just thought the display would be well-served by having the guys who were there from the beginning of the run," Kaplan said.

Kaplan said he decided to remove the jersey with chief operating officer Art Berke. They notified Berra of their decision and the former Yankee great "was OK with it," according to Kaplan.

Clemens and Berra are friends, and the former pitcher has played in a celebrity golf event that raises money for the museum, Kaplan said.

The jersey's removal was originally reported in The New York Times in Saturday's editions.

All these baseball players of today are so ridiculous. Derek Jeter and all the rest get paid big bucks and they don't have the talent of the greats in their pinkie fingers. Watch John Fogerty's video and be thoroughly depressed that baseball isn't a gentleman's sport anymore!
