Re: Darwin's DANGEROUS ASSUMPTION - we still haven't PROVEN anything WRONG here!

Quotes from rangerflint:

"“If it comes to a choice between believing in a creator and believing in scientific impossibility, I will believe the impossibility.” stated, Dr. M. Watson. Is this really thinking logically?"

I don't really think Mr. Watson represents the viewpoint of us all. Not a very well considered though, I agree, but it has nothing to do with this discussion.

"Now, if evolution takes place in everything then shouldn’t this fish have changed just a little bit in 16 million years?"

How about evolution not affecting just everything? Crocodiles, frogs and sharks have merely changed over time as well. So what, the nature has created a few well-surviving superior species! This doesn't still prove the evolution theory wrong, quite the contrary, it proves exactly the point of "survival of the fittest"!

"Many people have found, man-made artifacts encased in coal such as 8-carat gold chain, a spoon, an iron pot, a bell, screws, nails, a strange coin, an unusual hammer buried deep in rocks that were suppose to have been formed millions of years before man evolved."

So scientists have miscalculated the time when this particular kind of humans lived. It's not exactly easy to "predict the past"!

"Pierre Gresse, who wrote the Encyclopedia of Zoology, who may indeed be the Worlds leading Zoologist, said that, “Evolution is pseudo-science.” Louis Bonroune, who wrote the French equivalent for the Encyclopedia said, “Evolution is a fairytale for grownups”"

And you, rangerflint, are obviously a big fan of these particular people, have read a lot of their literature and have a deep faith in their opinions, rather than just quoting random people with random evolution opposing opinions to make your argument seem more "valid"?

"In 1981 Collin Patterson stated, “For over 20 years I thought I was working on evolution but there was not one thing I knew about it. So for the last few weeks I’ve tried putting a simple question to various people and various groups of people. “Can you tell me anything you know about Evolution, any one thing that is true?” I tried that question on the geology staff at the Field Museum of Natural History and the only answer I got was silence."

So these particular experts preferred not to state anything that realistically can not be proved as it is such ancient history. So what? Can any religion be proved? Both the scientifical and religious approach are both somewhat a matter of faith!

"Television as well as others treat them as ‘flat-earthers’."

Oh do they? Well I suppose I should change my point of view then, the TV told me so afterall! And, by the way, who are the "others" you mentioned?

Now, this is the Atheists & Atheism SUPPORT forum, check the header if you're not convinced! How about not debating religion here? Us people who start conversations are not believers. You're not going to do yourselved or anyone any good if you come here in this particular forum to fight against our beliefs. A waste of your time!
