Severe Menstrual Cramps

Dr. Dennis:

I am posting this for a girlfriend.

She started puberty at 9 yrs. old. She is now 31. Her menses have been very heavy with severe pain for many years. She experiences a lot of clots during her period. She has been known to faint during her period. She has not had a child.

I mentioned Castor Oil packs to her. Can you suggest anything for her, or have any comments on this?
