Atlas Adjustment
Dear Group,
I have some news regarding tinnitus:
A friend of mine was messed up by a chiropractor and I invited him to stay at my house in Reno. He had extremely strong tinnitus since he saw that chiropractor in Huntsville, AL including balance probems, etc. We drove together to Dr. Stuart Pardee (775) 782-5143 in Minden, Nevada, a 1-1/4 hour drive from Reno. He did an x-ray and did an adjustment of his atlas (that is the C1 or the first vertebra that supports the skull). All nerves are running down this first element of the spine. His was way out and mine was out a little. Dr. Pardee is an expert on the atlas sublaxation and right after the adjustment my friend had regained his balance. Dr. Pardee also checked my son, but he was ok. I feel better overall but I can't put my finger on it, an expression often stated by Dr. Pardee's patients. The pitch in my friend's tinnitus changed but it is not gone yet. His adjustment was 5 days ago.
Dr. Pardee calls atlas problems 'the great mimic', since it can produce vision problems, facial nerve problems, back pain, certainly neck problems, etc.
Dr. Pardee has also an adjustment device for the atlas that is so uniquie that there are only five of these ever built.
The costs were normal and reasonable.
I am not sure if a missaligned atlas also can produce TMJ. If your TMJ happened after a blow to the head, such as a car accident, then this might be something to consider.
With best regards,
Stephan
