Re: The Old Testament is the New Testament Concealed and the New Testament is the Old Testament Revealed

The first reference to Jesus in the Old Testament, that I am aware of, is in Genesis 3. Eve had been deceived by the serpent (satan). Adam and Eve were now in disobedience and God gives the curse.

However, there is some good news. God has a plan to save us from the damage done. The offspring of the woman who will crush the head of the serpent (satan) is Jesus. The serpent (satan) will only be able to strike the heel of Jesus, but Jesus wins when He crushes the head of satan. Jesus crushed the serpent's head (satan's head) when He died on the cross for the sins of mankind and rose from the dead on the third day.

This passage points to Jesus coming to earth to be our Savior and breaking the power of death over us. Jesus provided a way for mankind to have their righteousness restored and to gain eternal life by doing this. This crushed the very head of satan! What a blow that was to his head! This is why there is no other way to experience eternal life after our life on earth has ended. We have to put on the righteousness of Christ if we want eternal life. No other person who ever lived will have the righteousness that it takes to receive eternal life. Jesus paid the price for us. We must accept the righteousness of Christ. We must receive Jesus as our Lord.

Bible Verses:
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 NIV

"Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12 NIV

"So the Lord God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring[a] and hers; he will crush[b] your head, and you will strike his heel." Genesis 3:14-15 NIV
