Re: Hydrogen Peroxide therapy and CPAP

USING HYDROGEN PEROXIDE (DILUTED) IN A CPAP MACHINE is an interesting concept. I have added about 1 tsp of food grade 3% Hydrogen Peroxide to my Cpap reservoir for over eight months now and have not caught a cold or had any respiratory problems, which is unusual, because I always seem to get something during the winter months. One unexpected benefit is that I have found it totally unnecessary to clean my Cpap reservoir, hoses and mask. The reservoir used to develop a slimy residue on the sides which told me it was time for cleaning....no such problem now. By the way, I am a chemist by profession and have no medical training but well aware of what H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) is and can do...one thing is to pay VERY close attention to concentration and under no circumstances should you work with concentrations higher than 3% food grade solutions when proceeding with dilution for the Cpap reservoir.
