There is nothing wrong about having lingering symptoms
Dave, May I suggest you read up on Iodine. In the last 100 years a lot of research has been done on Iodine. You need to wake up and realize you're sitting on the shoulders of the giants of past generations who have given you highly useful information, which too many self-appointed experts discard in favor of their preconceived ideas.
Iodine supplementation is a necessity.
However,
Iodine is also a powerful stimulant that can easily give you symptoms of detoxification as well as insomnia which, in turn, can influence your thinking negatively.
One big question is, how much
Iodine should you take? One drop per day of 15%
Lugol's is already 8 mg per day, so if I were you, I would start out with only 1 drop per day.
You can't have your cake, and eat it, too. You can't detox without the symptoms of detoxification. If you take more Iodine/Iodide, there will be an increased urinary excretion of heavy metals such as lead and mercury, as well as the halides fluoride and bromide. And the side-effects of your detoxification can be unpleasant and worrisome.
There is nothing wrong about having a few lingering symptoms. You can have a detoxification process that goes on and on for many weeks, months, or even years.
However, if your detox symptoms are making you uncomfortable, or if you're starting to exhibit symptoms of hyperthyroidism, then, if I were you, from that day on, I would start taking less
Iodine per day, every day.
I hope this helps.
