castor oil for fingers' joint pain - RUBBER gloves ok to wear (at night) over castor oil?

Anyone know if the combo of castor oil and rubber could cause a problem? Dr. Mercola & Natural Living Ideas web state that castor oil alleviates joint pain. The ricinoleic acid in castor oil has a decongestant effect on the lymphatic system, which helps Arthritis joint pain. Massaging castor oil on the joints can help ease the congestion & jumpstart the lymphatic system. I want to recommend to my dad that he do this at night, and then cover his hands with rubber dishwashing gloves to not get oil on his bedding. He wakes often, so he'd probably take them off after after an hour or so, which by then the castor oil should be absorbed anyway. Anyone know if the combo of castor oil and rubber could cause a problem? Thanks
