british thought is much more group think so the dry and sarcastic homour is more obvious, even in the 2D world of the written word, i guess. on this side of the pond the written word is taken more litterally and humor and sarcasm is more in your face and has non-verbal clues such as setting, intonation and facial expression.

i had a friend like this once who would say things just to see what my reaction was to it, sometimes like he was seeing if i was paying attention. i dont care what people say. they can say and think anything they want, i will let them. if they want me to know what they think, then they can strain to communicate that to me. im done straining to try to figure out what others are trying to say. nine times out of ten, once i do find out, it was nonsense and not worth knowing in the first place.
