TMAU or Bromhidrosis - URINE SMELLING BO - Why?

Hello,

I am 16 (17 next month) and I have had underarm odor for about six months now. I would like to understand what condition I have. Is it bromhidrosis or TMAU? I have a urine smell coming from my underarms. At first I thought it was TMAU, but I realized I can smell myself when I put no deodorant on and smell a lot (I mean A LOT) Otherwise, I cannot smell myself.

I have no idea why this is happening. I thought it was TMAU because I realized that I could not smell myself 99.99% of the time, but in extreme cases I can.

This must mean bromhidrosis, right?

I'll tell you that I did have a kidney stone at the age of ten. This is the only history that I have had medically, but I did not have the odor issue until last September.

But why do I have urine smelling BO instead of regular (onion smelling moderate) BO?

What does this mean? What steps should I take to solve this problem? I almost had a panic attack this morning.

When I wake up in the mornings, I can smell it most of the time.

p.s: Does this mean I need a Liver Cleanse? I have tried virtually every deodorant and home remedy out there, and nothing has worked. I do tend to sweat and this is when I can smell the urine BO. Tweet
