earthing / grounding to a tree

do i still get the benefits of earthing or grounding when the soles of my feet are touching the trunk of a tree? i do not have grass at home. our garden is covered with gravel and concrete blocks but we do have trees. what i do is i sit on a chair and raise my legs and let my feet rest on the tree trunk. i also wet the tree trunk to make it damp because i read that wood is not a good conductor. does wetting the tree make any difference?

if there is any benefit to this, is there a best time that i should be doing this? is night time fine? tia.
