The facts about liver flushes

Actually this is my opinion on Liver Flushes as I have just recently done one and I have done a ton of research.

First off I have pancreatitis, I got the problem from a gallstone stuck in the pancreatic duct. I went 3 months before doctors found and removed it. This has so far seemed to cause permanent damage and I am in pain every day from it. If you think you have a stuck stone in the duct have an EUS or MRCP done immediately. An ultrasound did not find my stone.

When I did my Liver Flush the first thing I noticed was that I had alot of kidney pain afterwards. This is caused from the Epsom Salts they are terribly hard on the kidneys. dont use Epsom Salts again if you have kidney pain after wards. Secondly I did have these round soft green stones come out the second say. I do not beleive they are Gallstones though. They are just condensed olive oil mixed with bile that turned them green.

Now that being said I also had a bit of an ache in the gallbladder area and I attribute this to my gallbladder working overtime through the night.

So my end conclusion of all of this is that I do believe that the flush did clean out my gallbladder and very well i might add BUT the stones you see are not stones they are just olive oil balls encased with bile. If you do find a hard stone that sinks THAT would be a stone.

Overall i say I would do a flush again but I would skip the Epsom Salt part.
