If your growth is covering the iris, then it's a pterygium and not a pingeucula. Pterygium is also called "surfer's eye" and is generally thought to be cause by wind or sun damage. A pingeucula is usually stand-alone in the sclera and in Iridology, it's a sign of fat accumulation in the liver.
If you do have a pingeucula, you can try to do a liver gallstone flush ever 2-3 months and also minimize or eliminate animal foods from your diet. Taking turmeric and cayenne pepper also help to detoxify the liver but you need to clear out the fat accumulation with gallstone flushes.
Btw, I'm a Certified Comprehensive Iridologist. Hope that helps!
