Hello, all! I have some serious muscle problems and I live in a house so I want to install an earthing system. Today I will go get my earthing mat that I bought from Mercola. It has a good square-like electroconductive surface with a cover that is also el-conductive. Anyway... My question:
I will not use the normal electrical circuit to connect to my earthing mat. I want to put a ground rod outside the house. The thing is that whenever I talk to electrical technicians they always start telling me that the rod has to be 2m in the ground and some really special device should be used to measure the current and bla bla. But I am not sure if they are just saying this because that is the standard procedure when u ground a house or an electrical device. Do i really need to do these special things or do I just need a normal 1m rod in the ground that is connected to a copper wire and then to my earthing pad/mat? I don't see why it would matter if it is 1m or 2m in and why exactly I would need to measure the current or other things with special devices (different from normal volt meter). Any advice? How did u go about earthing yourself when not using the normal electrical circuit of your house?
