Tasers - non-lethal force??

Kinda of topic, but may spark some debate...

Well, the numbers are frightening... since 2001, over 300 folks in the US and Canada have been killed by police tasers... I really don't think, regardless of your position on their use, that they can be called non-lethal force any longer. What is it that 50,ooo volts are doing to our bodies??? I have a heart condition; Atrial Fibrilation, and I would think that would increase my risk of dying should I ever be tased. And lets face it, some of these folks have been regular folks mistaken as criminals... any thoughts ??
