Re: Penis size/needs for extra iodine. Question answered... :)

Hmmmmm...Cora my Dear, you raise a very interesting question, and I'll try to answer. DISCLAIMER: these answers are, indeed, based upon my own experience(and the experiences of my girlfriends,as we delicate flowers of femininity have been known to get downright bawdy & lustful when sharing experiences, ha! sometime I'll tell you the tale of "the loner with a boner"...hehehe). I've also thrown in some links and pictures to back up my suppositions.

Now, I believe that the question of the day is "Does increased penis size indicate a higher need for iodine?"

No, it does not.

For your viewing pleasure, I present the PENIS. I like this picture, it looks like a lovely flower:)

Please note the presence of the prostate gland. It's the cute green thing(well, maybe not green in real life, I've never actually seen one...a prostate gland, that is...)

"In the adult, the prostate gland is about the size of a walnut and lies immediately below the urinary bladder, surrounding the upper part of the urethra (Figure 1.6). The urethra carries urine from the bladder and semen from the sex glands out through the penis. The main function of the prostate gland is to secrete a milky, alkaline fluid (one of the components of semen) into the urethra at the point of ejaculation. The prostate fluid helps to nourish and protect the sperm during intercourse and forms the main bulk of ejaculate volume."

Iodine has been proven to exert a protective influence on the prostate gland, indeed, lack of Iodine has been correlated with the increase of all hormonally-driven cancers, prostate cancer included.

"The average male ejaculates 3 to 5 ml of semen at a time. Semen contains sperm as well as secretions produced by the seminal vesicles, prostate gland, and Cowper's glands. In a healthy fertile male, each one ml of ejaculate contains an average of 50 to 100 million sperm. Although this may seem like a very large number, sperm actually account for only 5% of the overall ejaculate volume."

So, penis size really has nothing to do with it. Maybe prostate gland size does, but I haven't (yet) figured out how to judge that. I and several of my female cohorts are working on this, we'll keep you posted on that. Prostate gland health is essential for a good sex life. Iodine protects the prostate. There is also the adage "If you don't use it, you lose it". So we women should work with our men to assure that they are, indeed, "using it". :)

And, lastly, in this day and age, the plea of this man rings true. If any man approaches you with a request such as this, your answer should be "By all means YES! C'mere, Hot Stuff!"
