Chronic Exposure and Negative Hair Trace Mineral Analysis Test

Hello!

I'm a male in my thirties who has some ongoing mental issues for which I suspected that chronic mercury poisoning may be the cause.

To make a long story short, there was a period of time in my youth where I (stupidly) ate way too much tuna, on the scale of 1 can every day for 3-4 years. As a student, tuna was cheap, tasty and apparently not so good for you.

Fast forward a decade, and I've had severe problems with OCD, depression, panic attacks, the works. Eventually this lead to me gradually developing aphantasia. As in, I've lost much of my ability to see pictures in my head, and to recall past memories in image form. I've tried a few different supplements to see if anything would help, but none has. Then a few months ago I tried Chlorella, NAC among some other things, and my short term memory was entirely fried for a couple of months, with severe brain fog to boot. Couldn't remember what I ate the same day.

Having read these forums now, I know that these can be symptoms of mercury distribution, so I ordered a Hair Mineral Test. The test however came back negative with only a small bump in mercury at 0.05 units.

So my questions are. Is it likely that the hair test is accurate, and that I did just not absorb any of the mercury from eating so much tuna? Does anyone else here have aphantasia from mercury? And is there any way to confirm the test is accurate?

Thank you for your time.
