Using zapper on my face around the nose.

I recently used a zapper and I put one of the electrodes against my lip where incisor teeth are. It caused tingling in tooth nerves and then something like a jolt of electricity. no my tooth is throbbing and feels sensitive. Did I damaged something or did I just irritated the nerve?
