Mirena Causes GI Health Issues

Thank God I came a cross to this website. I was experiencing these same symptoms since I had inserted mirena. Within 90 days of insertion of mirena, I started having constipation, acid reflux, bloating, belching, anxiety, dizziness, and fatigue. I had been going to my GI doctor and having all types of tests to rule out all possible GI related diseases. All tests results were negative. I went back to my GYN and talked to her about having all these symptoms right after I had mirena inserted. My GYN did not believe me and talked me out of it and said my GI issue is not related to mirena and I should not remove it. I still did not agree with my doctor and continued searching for the cause. I came across this website and I am 100% sure now by reading other people's experiences that mirena is the cause of these GI problems. I have set up an appointment with my GYN to remove my mirena next week. Hopefully I will recover from all the symptoms that I am having right now. I have had my mirena for two years now. If you know please let me know how long it will take to recover from these symptoms after the removal of mirena. Tweet
