Ultra violet water purification and re-mineralization - are these safe?

Hi all

I am planning to buy a water purifier. I live in New Delhi, India.

I have decided to buy a reverse osmosis (RO) purifier. However, there is a further choice. There is an RO purifier, and a purifier that uses both RO and ultra violet rays, with additional 're-mineralisation'.

I am trying to understand -

Is purification with ultra violet rays safe? Does it not charge the water in ways that are unnatural?

Does 're-mineralisation' cause any negative effects? What I have found in my reading so far is that it doesn't, but it may also not be effective in what it sets out to do.

I look forward to any thoughts on this.
