Niacin is the Bomb
Hi,
So as part of the blood
Sugar balancing, I've started using Niacin and Chromium Picolinate.
Niacin is known for lots of things -- it is fantastic for reducing reducing chances and severity of heart attacks and strokes. It reduces anxiety, helps blood sugar, and it helps sleep.

The anxiety reduction partially comes about as if you don't have enough in your system, then the body will convert tryptophan into it, at a rate of 60:1. No wonder some of us can be low in tryptophan.

Niacin also helps blood
Sugar regulation. They don't konw how but likely something to do with increasing insulin's efficiency.
For me, it's helped blood
Sugar to the point I don't wake at 6am in anxiety because of low night blood sugar! Huge difference. And either because of that sleep, or because of that energy I am feeling so much better. I've mentioned before about low carb diets making me feel good - this is the exact same feeling.
Nice side effects: craving for carbs is gone. I'd like some, but don't have to fight it.
Oh and the cholesterol part? LDL, and triglycerides down by 25% or so, and HDL up by 30%.
How do you use it? Well for most of us likely at night, an hour after dinner. 100mg to start then 200 mg 2 weeks later and up to 300mg thereafter. Thing is you need to use real Niacin, as it will cause a flush for half an hour. Read up on it. I actually find it fun :)
BTW, the chromium picolinate? Too powerful for me for now. It causes blood sugar crashes if I do say 90 min of yoga. Not fun. Perhaps I can break the capsules open and use 1/4, but not til I'm done getting benefits from Niacin. That's enough for now.
