 Yes, Ibuprofen will help with menstrual cramps since the cramps are in part due to prostaglandins.  And ibuprofen is a prostaglandin inhibitor.  But for anyone reading this that is still suffering from menstrual cramps there are safer alternatives, in particular the smooth muscle relaxants such as magnesium malate, kudzu root, cramp bark or silk tassel.
